About Me

Who am I?

My name is Lesley Gonzalez and I am 23 years old. I am currently enrolled in the Teacher Credential Program at California State University San Marcos. I am hoping to teach Spanish at the secondary level. I am also taking courses to receive my Bilingual Authorization at the end of the program. During my first Clinical Practice I taught Spanish I and Spanish for Spanish for Spanish Speakers I. I enjoyed teaching these levels and the students were great. As of today I am in my final Clinical Practice teaching Spanish for Spanish Speakers II. These students are ready to learn and they keep me on my toes.

I attended Vista High School and graduated in 2007. I received my Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish from San Diego Sate University in Fall 2011. I studied abroad in Paris, France and Madrid, Spain. These experiences have taught me a great deal about keeping an open mind and learning more than just the language. Learning a language involves more than knowing how to conjugate verbs it is about communicating with another culture and learning through different perspectives. I hope to teach this to my future students.
